Swimming Lessons

  • Members are not allowed to use the pool for lengths.
  • Starfish/Duck – Parent goes into the water with child.  
  • Preschool classes for 3-5 years of age (Crocodile/Whale/Sea Turtle/ Salamander/ Sunfish); it is encouraged for parents to accompany their children in the water, but tot-docks are provided to assist. (children learn better with just the instructor and the ratio is 1:4, as recommended through red cross)
  • Preschool Classes (up to 6 years) – parent needs to stay on deck (in case child needs to go to the washroom)
  • School age (6 and up) – Parents not needed on deck, unless they want to watch.
  • Any parent or adult that wants to go into the pool area to watch their children have lessons must pay the $10 day pass fee unless they are a member.  
  • Water wings can be used at the comfort of the parent, although it is encouraged to use without.
  • Children can not use the aqua-fit bar bells.  The lifeguards have discretion to allow the use of the flutter boards.
